How many blondes does it take?

The question- How many blondes does it take to have a Santa 5k Run?
The answer- Apparently only two.

Here is the thing, I have been itching to run a race since Oliver made his debut, but for one reason or another, it hasn't worked out. I was so excited to run this Santa race that I found with my friend Tawna. So, you can imagine how disappointed I was when I called the night before the race to make sure time and place only to find out that the race was canceled. That wasn't going to stop us. We had our outfits, we were pumped up to run, we were going to run a 5k WITH or WITHOUT an official start and finish line, a gunshot start or a slew of folks to do it with. Do you know what the best part of doing an (un)official race with your good friend is?
The photo ops along the way....

Probably not one of my best times as far as races go, but I can say it was one of the funnest!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

Update: Chapter One....

So it has been far too long since I have posted anything, let me explain why..... Before we had Oliver, I never understood why people only posted photos and stories about their kids. Now I get it. That is all that is going on with me these days, Mr. Oliver Champ. Anyways, I never wanted to be one of those that posted tons and tons of pics of my little man, I am now aware that it's that or no post at all, so here we go...
I love seeing my boys together, Lando is so sweet.

Wilson likes to act aloof, but he really loves his baby.

Oliver has celebrated his two month mark. Actually three now, but I don't have those photos yet, stay tuned for Update Chapter two.....

Oliver with two cutie pie cousins. Nora and Tilly.

This was the first time he grabbed that ring, it was so cute!

This one is just because...

Wilson likes to hide treats under Oliver.

One afternoon, I walked into my room and found these two taking a nap, Wilson woke up before I could snap the shot, but he still just layed there.

What is it about the sad face that I find so cute?

From one extreme to another...

Such a cute daddy.

Well, kids, that concludes Chapter One, stay tuned for Chapter two including such news as....The newest addition to our family, Oliver's blessing and some family photos. I know it may be hard, but try to contain yourselves. :)

Oliver went to meet his cousin Nora. They are about a month apart and it was so much fun to see them together!

Grandma had a pretty good time with these two little ones...

Now we just need Baby Oscar- the newest cousin- in some photos!
And upon request from Mer, here are a few more of Oliver...

Let me introduce to you-- Oliver Champ Webb

Well, he is here. This little man

is finally here.
I went in on Tuesday, August 31st at 9 p.m. got started on some pills at 10 p.m. got my epidural at 5 a.m. started to push at 8:30 a.m. continued pushing until 10:30 a.m. Every time I pushed, Oliver's heart rate dropped--a lot. My Dr. said that he would be fine for a bit if I wanted to still push, but he wasn't sure how long Oliver would be okay for, so we were left with a decision. Once we decided on having a c-section, it was super fast from there. They had me prepped, open, sewed back up and back in my room with my baby in my arms in just about 35 min.
We couldn't be happier with our little man. I never knew I could love him so much.

This is right after he was born. I wish I could have had the camera to get a photo of Landon holding him, it was the best sight.

Our little Champ in the hospital.

Courtney was his very first visitor. Oliver just loves cousin Courtney!

That is one proud papa!

Our first family photo.

Landon's very first diaper change- he is a pro!

Three generations of Webb boys. What a handsome bunch.

Wilson just loves his baby!
We are so happy he is here. So far he has been a great little baby. He eats like a Champ and gets some good sleep, which makes for a happy mom. (I'm still getting used to the idea that I am a mom!)

All sorts of things...

Well, it has been quite a while since I have last posted and there have been lots of things going on here at the Webb residence. We have a new basement, a new baby's room and Lando had a birthday. With all of that action, there is still no new baby.

Let's start with the basement. This is what is started out looking like---

We started out with the framing. We are SO grateful for sweet friends to come and help us do so much work in our house. One of Landon's friends from work came and started us out, then our good friends, Penny and Colby made a trip(s) down from Logan (one of which lasted until the wee hours of the night, well, morning by that time). But with all of that help, we were able to get all of the framing done. I know that Landon had a good time learning how to do that and it looks SO good!
Next was electrical and HVAC. We hired out the HVAC, but sort of did the electrical ourselves. Well, I personally did nothing, but Landon was quite the assistant. We had a good connection for the electrical work and it saved us quite a bit.
Then came the drywall. We just hired this part out. We were advised by many people that it wasn't worth trying to do ourselves. That was great advice. It was up and cleaned in just a few days.

The next step was painting. This is something I usually like to do, but being in the pregnant state I was in at the time, made things a little more difficult. But it didn't stop me. We borrowed a sprayer from my brother and I can't even explain how much of a life savor that was. Landon did all of that... He primed and did all of the white paint in just a few hours. It was a little messy, but it was so slick!

Then we did the color in the family room and down the hall.

Everything was coming together, we just needed something better than concrete under our feet. So we had carpet, vinyl and tile put down. Wilson didn't like the tile guys that came, but besides that, it all went well.
All that was left to do was the final touches. Hang doors, baseboards, casings, touch up paint- that sort of stuff. Once again, we had some good help for this tedious work, Brandon and Amanda stopped by and made doing this kind of stuff so much easier!
And here is the final product!

We are so excited to have this extra space in our house, it feels so nice to sit down there and hang out with each other. And we get a lot of satisfaction to look around and see all of the work we did ourselves (again, I mostly hung out and got water and treats for all of those who were actually doing stuff).
Well, the next thing that happened here was getting our nursery all ready for occupancy(which hopefully will be soon). I had the bedding all made,

so I just needed to pick out the right paint to match. I decided to go with green. I think it turned out so nice. Then once we got all of the furniture in, it seemed to be just perfect. I think our little guy will love it.

Landon was a little tuckered out from all of the work...

There was one thing in particular that I really wanted to get Landon for his birthday, but the Wee Webb didn't make an appearance. We had a pretty low key birthday. We went to church and you would think a nice day at church would be so relaxing for a birthday, well, not in nursery! The kids were wild. It was nice to come home and chill with just us. The weather was beautiful and Lando says he had a nice day.

As for the last, the part about our Wee Webb. As of right now, the plan is to get induced this week. My due date is on Wednesday. About two weeks ago, I had to go in and get the little guy turned, he was right side up, which is upside down to how he needs to be. I will tell you this, it hurt more than anything! I know I haven't gone through labor yet and that will be a whole new ballgame, but I am planning on drugs for that, this was all me. But, the procedure worked and he is faced the right direction. My doctor said that he will induce me just to make sure the little one doesn't turn back around the wrong direction. I don't think he will, but I am feeling pretty ready to be done with the whole pregnancy thing. I think the depression is setting in some days. And besides, Wilson wants someone to play with. So, hopefully this week we will add another boy to our family. No worries, there will be a post on that. I am so excited to welcome our little guy here, I can't wait to meet him!
UPDATE:
Here is the latest news: last night, I finally heard back from my doctor. We are heading into the hospital tonight to do some prep work and then in the morning they will induce me. So, hopefully tomorrow at some point, we will have our baby here! Wish me luck!
